Images from Thailand: Accepting what is
Images from Thailand - Accepting what is
This Black and White series from Thailand below came about due to a few unforeseen factors and mistakes...I did not "get to know" my new film (velvia 100) before leaving on this trip, which is especially important when doing very long exposures. I usually shoot Velvia 50, which I know quite well but wanted to try a different version. Velvia 100, so I had read, is better for doing long exposures. Film can act funny the longer one exposes it to light, such as strange color shifts, tons of grain, or exposure difficulties, to name a few. Velvia 100 had all of those strange shifts and more.

Thailand Bike Tour ~ Spring 2011
Return to Thailand
Spring Bike tour 2011
My wife Susan and I will be flying to Thailand this Tuesday for a tour of some of Thailand's most secluded and beautiful beaches. April and May is a great time to visit as it is "off season" there, it's less crowded, and cheaper. It is also the hottest time of the year, but being on a bike tends to cool you down.
Alley Doors ~ Crested Butte, Colorado
Alley Doors Crested Butte Colorado
During December and January of this winter season, I wandered through the alleys of Crested Butte, finding and photographing the unique and beautiful doors that grace the back roads of this picturesque town. When I first began looking for these doors I could only find a few at a time, but the more I walked around, I started to see them everywhere. I was taken with the colors, textures, and characters of these doors. Coupled with the falling snow, they created a wonderful scene.
The Tunnel
Not long ago, I was visiting my Mom back in Washington. My Brother, his Wife, and My mom all went up in the hills to visit one of her dear friends who has been living "off the grid" for years now. Her property was absolutely amazing...wild, and beautiful.
