Iceland Photography Tour
I'm incredibly exited to announce that I will be assisting Bruce Percy again on his 9 day South Iceland Photo Tour. I assisted Bruce last September, and I must say his tours are top notch. Bruce is an extremely knowledgeable and accomplished photographer and artist, a fantastic tour leader, and an all around great person.
Black and White Miniatures (Finished Portfolio)
There is something quite rewarding in seeing how a body of work comes together, especially one that was created over multiple outings, and a span of 4 months.
New “Point and Shoot”
Got a new "point and shoot" today
Blue Guitarist
Found some slides from about 15 years ago. Had some friends that were pretty deep into the Metal scene in Seattle. This particular show was amazing...and very loud.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
What do these images and the new movie "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" have in common? I took these photos last April using the same camera that Sean O'Connell (Sean Penn) was seen using in the movie...an old Nikon F3.
Black and White Miniatures
High altitude landscape photography can be incredibly rewarding, however, it does not come easy. One main challenge is the fleeting light during sunrise or sunset. Generally this is the only time I photograph landscapes (the quality of light is at its best during these times). On average, I have about 2 to maybe 15 minutes to capture this brilliant display of color and light. The following collection is a different story.
Impressions of Iceland
During the latter part of this past September, I was lucky enough to spend 9 days traveling and photographing across the south coast of Iceland.
We passed countless towering waterfalls, desolate black sand deserts that went on for miles, multiple glacial lagoons, expansive moss covered lava fields, and a myriad of other bizarre landscape features unique to Iceland.
It’s Not About The Camera
As I looked at the incredible reflection in Bear Lake, my first thought was, "Wow, this is quite beautiful." My second thought was, "This would be even better had I remembered my camera gear."
Fortunately, my wife was nice enough to loan me her 7 year old point and shoot camera.
