I recently filled my film coffers as a price hike from Fuji is expected at the end of this month. I thought it would be a good idea to tally what I have in stock, been a while since Ive done so.

Turns out I have just over 500 rolls of film on hand! 460 rolls of 120 and about 40 rolls of 135. One particular film stock I have on hand is called Kodak E-100vs. Its a beautiful slide film that really sings in the reds, oranges, and browns. Its said that Velvia is for the spring and E-100 is for the Fall.

The thing with this film is that is was discontinued about 2 years ago. Not long after that I went ahead and spent a small fortune to keep my Fall yellows and Desert reds as vibrant as ever. I estimate I have about an 8 year supply left of this amazing film.

Of the 8 different film types that I currently use, only 1 is discontinued…knock wood.

One of the perils of being a film shooter…no room for ice cream.

So what are the 8 films you use?

I have an old Hasselblad I am thinking I need to start using.
I was in your studio this past Sept and you told me about the Velvia 50 and the address of the place to send the film to be scanned.

Thanks, your photos are beautiful. You have challenged me to go to the next level. I may be coming to see you this year for help!

Hi Raynor, are you still shooting film?

E100 VS is also my favourite colour film. The new Ektachrome is out which I am shooting, I wrote a history of Ektachrome that you may enjoy.
