Tórshavn Morning light
Dynamic light on my first morning in Tórshavn. The rain, wind, and jet lag was tugging at my motivation, but I ventured out anyways. Glad I did, made some of my favorite images on that first day. I find I do some of my best work when I'm exhausted or sick, helps get my head out of the way.
Interpretation not Illustration
Over the last year or so, I've been attempting to photograph what I feel rather than what I see. To focus on interpretation rather than illustration, has been an enlightening challenge. I find that I am seeking out interesting things, rather than beautiful things with this in mind. However they sometime overlap :-)
Tjørnuvik Light
I was lucky to spend a day here under passing storms and moody light. If you plan on traveling to the Faroe Islands, I would put Tjørnuvik high on your list of places to visit.
The Valley to Gjógv
Looking down valley towards the small and picturesque town of Gjógv in the Faroe Islands. An incredible soft blue light blanketed everything.
Harvest Moon
Came across this beautiful scene on the way to Saksun in the Faroe Islands. Incredibly soft light, fantastic bright red tractor and the moon made a fleeting appearance.
Saksun Church, Faroe Islands
Soft light on a cool winter morning in the Faroe Islands.
Instagram Fun
Ive recently started using Instagram as a way to showcase my work and reach a broader audience. Mt work tends to be portfolio driven, however, on Instagram I will be putting out a loose collection of images that did not really fit anywhere else...most of which I have never published before.
